Science with Catapults

$3.00

My students loved this fun popsicle stick catapult activity. We used this activity while studying force in the classroom. After completing the activity we talked about many things that effect how far the objects fly with the catapult.

It took 3- 30 minutes sessions to complete. Day 1 we made catapults. Day 2 we tested and revised our catapults. Day 3 we had a contest with the 2 catapults in class that had objects that catapulted the furthest. Optional: After the activity Day 4 we tested other objects with our catapults.

This packet includes recording sheets for popsicle stick catapults in the classroom. It also includes blank sheets that can be used to write in any other objects you chose to catapult. It includes pictures of the catapult, lists of supplies needed, and 16 different recording sheets in color and black and white.

Also need for this activity popsicle sticks, mini bracelet rubber bands, plastic lids, glue gun or glue to glue lids on catapults. Candy corn, plastic spiders and other optional objects to test with your catapult.
