In a pinch and need help on a lesson?

I hamsterized my students

The first week of school was wonderful and I absolutely love my class! I am so excited for this year. We started Daily 5 stamina and they read for 12 minutes the first day and 11 minutes the 2nd day.

I’ve been watching apps gone free and picked up a little treasure this week. If you don’t have that app you need to get it right away. There are lots of free apps shared everyday.

Pho.to Lab PRO
The app is now 3.99  now but it has so many photo effects I think it is well worth the money if you like to edit photos. It
has 69 total effects. (sketches, magazine covers, filters, frames,
borders. etc.)
I would watch for it to go free again because many of them do eventually.

It has 11 different animal effects (tigers, lion, bunny, meerkats, cat, koala, parakeet, gorilla, ape and hamster) it was so easy to use.
Just select the background you want and it puts their face into it.

I hamsterized my students! I can’t wait to see what they write about themselves as a hamster. Aren’t they just the cutest??

I am reading The World According to Humphrey to my class and they love it. This week we will be writing about our hamster selves. Can’t wait to see what they come up with.

In past years my students have enjoyed Bunny Hero Labs to create a virtual pet for their blog. (We use kidblog. Can’t wait to try out the app this year.) We make the pet (pick any color you want) and then copy and paste the html code to the blog post. Students then write on their post about their virtual pet. They turn out really cute! Tap more on my virtual pet and you can feed him a strawberry.
