Theme Poem and Acrostic Poem are free apps made by the website Read Write Think. Before we had iPads we would use these programs on laptops. I was so excited when they became apps. In the spring we always explore and write lots of poetry in my classroom. Students enjoy writing poems with these apps. We then save the poems to the camera roll. They can then publish them to a blog post or they can save them to the Dropbox app and I can print them from my computer. We have a class Dropbox account that my students use to save their work. This way we can easily get it off of our iPads. Check out some of the poems we created in the photos below.
