We have been working hard on predicting, questioning, inferring and drawing conclusions in class.  We used all these strategies when we had a Read aloud discussion mini lesson.  We used the book Too Many Pumpkins to Predict, Ask Questions, Infer and Draw Conclusions. It is great book for for all these Reading Strategies.

Later in the day we used an online Pumpkin Carving Program to carve our own pumpkin like Rebecca Estelle. It’s a short activity but really fun to see all the computers pumpkins glowing.  I forgot to take my camera to the lab to get a picture.

I also want my students to be able to infer and draw conclusions on their own so I made a fun little activity to do with partners to show them how to infer and draw conclusions.  It is a fun riddle activity, but you could cut apart the cards and use them in a game if you would like.  Get it FREE here from my Teachers pay Teachers store.
Hope you enjoy this fun little reading activity!
