I have done these fun paper bag puppet skits with my students for many years. The past few years we have recorded the scripts with a video camera on a green screen and put a Plymouth Plantation scene in the background. My student just love it. We study about Pilgrim children in class by reading Sarah Morton and Samuel Easton books. Then we have a booklet we study on the life of a Pilgrim Child which I staple together and send home with the students. Then they tell their parents what to write to go along with their pilgrim children puppets.
Their parents record it on the script paper. They practice at home and bring the skit back to school to preform for the class. You could also write the plays up at school if you have time, especially if your students are older. All things for this fun little project are included on this free packet on my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Here is one sample from one of my last years students.
