Compare and Contrast Snow Themed Mini Unit

$5.99

This Mini Unit has a variety of activities to use to teach the reading strategy compare and contrast all around a snow theme. I absolutely love snowmen. This unit has actual photos of snowmen I have made with my own kids over the past 16 years and 2 links to short videos on You Tube that I made of my kids making snowmen.

It includes hands on activities where students make their own snow dough snowmen to compare with others in class. There is also an app activity to do with the snowdough snowmen if you have ipods/ipads.

Students draw their own things on snowmen and compare and contrast.

Compare and Contrast students in class by look and interests.

Compare and Contrast books:

There are some books recommended for this unit. Goldilocks and the Three Bears by James Marshal, Dustylocks and the Three Bears by Susan Lowell, and Three Snow Bears by Jan Brett. Who Will Win Polar Bear Vs. Grizzly Bear and other Who will Win? Series books by Jerry Polatto. You will also need ingredients to make snow dough if you chose to do that activitiy. (flour, water, salt, veg oil, cream of tartar and a little white paint) and misc things to add to snowmen made with the dough.

There are 38 pages in this unit.
