This product contains everything needed to help you generate a script about Pumpkin Life Cycles. Great way to start Green Screen Projects in your classroom. Research sheets and grading rubrics are included but you can also have students use books, magazines, or the internet for other research. Text may be a little difficult for 1st grade but if you are using it along with other life cycle units in your classroom the students can still use the puppets and scripts to write facts. See the sample movie here on You Tube to see how to make an app smashing project you can make with the Stop Motion App and Green Screen.

Pumpkin Life Cycles is Included with both realistic and cartoon objects for the life cycle.

This product contains puppets, backgrounds, and blank script templates that can be used as a work station for those wanting to incorporate a mini Green Screen into the classroom. It is also great idea to use for early finishers as something to do. This could also be done as a whole class writing activity during writing time. NOTE: all pieces that contain green so they need to be filmed on a blue screen. Blue construction paper, blue trifold science boards, or blue folders will work well for this.

How it works

A student uses the blank script paper to write a script to film. This can be done as an individual, partner, or whole class activity. (In a whole class activity everyone is working on the scripts at the same time.) Students can use the movie idea posters to help get them started with an idea or they can come up with one on their own. After the script is finished students rehearse to prepare for filming. Once they are ready they take their puppet and film on a green screen. When they are finished they scan one of the QR codes to the background that goes with their production. They then add the layers in the app Green Screen by Do Ink. If your class only has one iPad with the app the students will airdrop the movie that was filmed on the green background to the iPad with the app and then add the layers together. The movie can also be airdropped to the teacher to finish too.
