This teamwork challenge is great for Back to school and STEAM or STEM CAMP openers or get to know you activity. Use items you already have in your makerspace or classroom. Make stations for your students to build the tallest tower.
Use various STEM supplies and have stations around your classroom for students to build the tallest tower with the supplies provided.
Students will measure towers and try to get a taller tower in a short period of time. Students fill out a recording sheet as they complete the tower in 3 or more tries to see how tall they can get their tower. They record their first try and best try. Students love improving the tower builds while learning perseverance.
